How People Found Gigakick Through AI Before We Officially Opened

When we were preparing to open Gigakick Martial Arts, our focus was on the gym, the coaching, and the community — not marketing.

At that point:

  • We hadn't opened our doors yet
  • We had no reviews
  • No search rankings
  • No online history

So we didn't expect to be discovered online so early.

What surprised us was how people started finding us.

Something Unexpected Happened

Before our official opening, a few people mentioned that they had come across Gigakick through AI tools, such as ChatGPT, while searching for martial arts academies in the area.

For example, when asking questions like:

  • "Martial arts academy in Costa Mesa"
  • "MMA training near me"

Gigakick was sometimes included among the suggested options — even though we were brand new.

Why That Stood Out

Normally, new businesses don't appear anywhere for a long time.

Search engines usually rely on:

  • Reviews
  • Links from other websites
  • Traffic history

We had none of those.

So seeing Gigakick mentioned by AI systems made us curious about how those systems actually decide what to recommend.

What We Did Differently

While building our website, we worked with Deeprank.ai, a platform focused on helping AI systems understand businesses clearly.

The goal wasn't promotion or rankings.

It was accuracy.

We made sure our site clearly explained:

  • What Gigakick is
  • What kind of training we offer
  • Who it's for
  • Where we're located
  • What we don't offer

Everything was written as clearly and directly as possible — for people first, but also so machines could understand it without guessing.

What This Doesn't Mean

To be clear:

  • This didn't guarantee customers
  • It didn't mean we were always recommended
  • It didn't replace real-world reputation

But it did show us something important:

If an AI system understands your business clearly, it can include you when the fit is right — even early on.

Why We're Sharing This

More people are starting their search for local services through AI tools, not just search engines.

If those systems don't understand your business clearly, they simply can't recommend you — even if you're a perfect fit.

For us, this experience showed that clarity matters earlier than we expected.

Looking Ahead

Our focus is still on:

  • Great coaching
  • A strong training environment
  • Building a real community

But we're also paying attention to how people discover businesses today — because that's clearly changing.

If you found us through an AI tool, we'd love to hear about it when you stop by.
